RFYS Season 2024-25 gets off to a roaring start; Action kicks off in multiple centers

RFYS Season 2024-25 kicked off on November 18 in North & South Kerala, and Chennai. Followed by these three centers, the matches have also begun in Mizoram, Kolkata, and Delhi centers.

It’s that time of the year when football fever takes over the entire nation. The highly anticipated, much-awaited new season of Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) began on November 18, and we already have witnessed its fair share of intense battles.

RFYS Football Season 2024-25, like the previous years, will see thousands of young kids participating as the tournament will span more than 24 districts across the country. Till now, the matches have already begun in as many as five centers. The season kicked off with thematches starting in the South and North Kerala centers alongside Chennai in the South Zone, followed by the North-East (Mizoram), North (Delhi), and East (Kolkata) Zones.

This new season of the tournament is all set to be much bigger and better than the previous years. Four new age categories – U-7, U-9, U-11, and U-13 have been introduced which sets the stage for more exposure to grassroots football in India. Each team in the younger categories (U-7 to U-13) is set to play over 20 matches, while older age groups (U-15 to U-19) will average 10-12 matches providing more game time to the future stars of Indian football.

This brand-new season of the RFYS football tournament aims to further strengthen India's football ecosystem through collaborations with schools, clubs, and academies, alongside extensive scouting networks aimed at connecting top talent with professional opportunities. Workshops for coaches and match officials are also planned, keeping in mind the holistic development of the sport in India.

The lines are drawn, and the game is on. The platform is set for some exciting games. The youngsters are already making a mark in the RFYS Football Season 2024-25, as the countdown has already begun for the season to kick off in other centers across the country.
